From My Grandmother's Saree to a Life in Silk

Aradhana Fashion House didn't start as a business plan. It started with a gift, a journey to Kanchipuram, and a love for silk that eventually became a calling.

Where It Began

My grandmother brought me my first pure silk saree from India when I was 20. I didn't know it then, but that saree would shape the next two decades of my life —> the weight of the fabric, the precision of the border, stayed with me long after I'd worn it.

2013

Kanchipuram

I finally made my own trip to Kanchipuram, and that's where curiosity turned into obsession. I started building a personal collection. NOT TO SELL!!! Just to own pieces I loved. Along the way, there are precious sarees that has been damaged due to the lack of knowledge of taking care of it :'(

2019

A Simple Question

A few friends & family members heard I was travelling to India again and asked: "Can you get me one nice saree?" That question became a small home-based venture, and Aradhana Fashion House was born, starting with what I knew best, authentic Pure Kanchipuram silk.

Growing the Craft

Aradhana has grown beyond Kanchipuram. I've been exploring India's other extraordinary silks such as muga silk from Assam, eri silk, and tussar silk. Each with its own texture, history, and weaving tradition, chosen with the same care as my very first saree. My mom became the backbone of our brand Thirumanapattu by being the 1st investor. She trusted me & the authenticity of the sarees. It's been almost seven (7) years. We are still learning & growing day by day.

Discovering Bengal Cotton

As a professional, my work doesn't leave much room for anything that isn't both polished and practical. That personal need led me to Bengal cotton sarees which is lighter, breathable, effortlessly elegant, and exactly what I now reach for on my own working days in 2026. It felt right to bring that discovery to other working women too who love to wear saree for work.
